The 10th generation of the Mercedes E 300 debuts for 2017, and it is a striking, technology-rich midsize luxury saloon, says CNET's Road Show in a new review. Click "play" in the video clip below to watch the full report.
The E300's turbocharged 2.0-liter engine puts out 241 horsepower and with 273 pound-feet of torque, there is ample oomph for accelerating out of corners, says CNET. Sport and Sport-plus modes are best for attacking the twisties, with Sport-plus offering a bit of a quicker steering ratio and throttle input.
Mercedes' Drive Pilot adaptive cruise control and semi-autonomous steering system can follow cars up to 130 miles per hour. It can even read speed limit signs at night and adjust the speed accordingly. The system can be turned on and off based on driver preference.
