It all began several years ago, when North Carolina-based automotive retail giant Sonic Automotive Inc. bought a Denver luxury car dealership with a history from Murray Motors Imports Co. A complement of $28 million later, with a 91,000-square-foot high-tech dealer showroom, service center and more to show for it, Mercedes-Benz of Denver came into its own, at 940 South Colorado Blvd. here in beautiful Denver, CO.
And February 15, 2017 saw the celebration of the longtime commitment as well as the Murray's legacy by customers, city officials and company executives alike. Mercedes-Benz general manager Adil Elmori, for one, welcomes the remodel, as it will simultaneously be "an opportunity to change up the way cars are sold," emphasizing the customer experience over the conventional sales approach, with a shift to the inviting friendliness of elements like valet parking and concierges who will not simply talk to but engage with customers about what they love about Mercedes-Benz vehicles.
