This virtual race series will adhere to the schedule of the real-life DTM (Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters) series in Europe. Gamers will have practice and qualifying time before the multiplayer race; the top 17 qualifiers will race the main event.
In October, at the end of the series, the top six finishers will be invited to the final round in Hockenheim, Germany. Mercedes-AMG will pay for travel, accommodation, and provide a VIP ticket to the real-world event. In the VIP area, the video game race will take place to determine the series champion. The champion earns a full racetrack training package, including travel and accommodation. The training includes coaching from a renowned AMG brand ambassador.
That first prize sounds like quite the experience! Many of us at Mercedes-Benz of Denver haven’t tried RaceRoom yet, but we’re tempted to try our hand at virtual racing this season...
