Exterior
Design
The 2022 EQS features sleek lines and curves that help set it apart from
the current crop of Mercedes-Benz models. This sleeker looks is about much more
than bringing the design into the future, but it also provides advanced aerodynamics
to help improve efficiency and range as you travel. That said, you'll get some
classic Mercedes-Benz touches as well, such as the Point of Light grille design
with LED lights, along with wide lower vents and a swept roofline that point
toward current Mercedes-Benz design trends.
Interior
Design
The
interior of the 2022 EQS features a striking piano black dash
panel that contains embedded displays that stretch from the driver's seat to
the passenger side. Not only is this a stunning and futuristic cabin feature,
but it also allows your passenger to make their own adjustments while you stay
focused on the road ahead. Ambient interior lighting highlights the sweeping
curves and lines of the dash and doors, surrounding the dash panel and seat
adjustment panels on the door. It's a classy touch that also makes it easy to
find buttons when driving at night, and you can turn it off should you find it
too distracting. Finally, heated and cooled leather seats with near-infinite
adjustability make the Mercedes-Benz EQS a phenomenally comfortable driving
experience you can enjoy every day.
Performance
While your
performance-oriented drivers might lament the loss of an exhaust note, you'll
quickly forget about that detail when you unleash the performance of the 2022 EQS. Electric motors deliver instant torque, and in the case of the
EQS that means a minimum of 406 pound-feet of torque. You'll go from zero to 60
mph in 5.5 seconds, besting the average sports car without spending a drop of
fuel. Even better, you can choose the 580 4MATIC powertrain and take advantage
of 516 horsepower and 611 pound-feet of torque that is sent through all four
wheels for a true high-performance drive. Plus, the EQS range
clocks in at an estimated 478 miles, and you can charge from 10 to 100 percent
in just 31 minutes on a public DC fast-charger.
Technology
The 2022 EQS packs a laundry list of advanced technology features that go
far beyond the high-tech powertrain that sits beneath you. Remote app features
let you control your EQS from anywhere, with remote door lock and unlock as well
as adjusting the climate control settings ahead of your next drive so you can
enjoy a comfortable cabin the moment you get behind the wheel. Plus, you can
monitor charging status so you know when your EQS is ready to hit the road at
maximum range.

When it
comes to keeping you safe, the 2022 EQS delivers a truly
encapsulating experience. Sensors surround you to detect collisions, and
whether you're at risk of hitting someone or another vehicle is about to hit
you, it will react by tensioning the seatbelts and producing a frequency that
reduces the sonic impact of an accident that can damage your hearing. Of
course, you'll also have forward collision alert, automatic emergency braking,
and an adaptive cruise control with lane tracing that lets you focus on hazards
ahead.
